Simon Belford
Simon qualified at Guys Hospital London in 1989. He joined the practice in 1990, and worked as an associate at Alington Dental and a clinical assistant in the orthodontic department at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Now the owner and clinical director of Alington Dental, Simon has trained extensively in all aspects of restorative dentistry, both in this country and internationally. He has followed the career pathway at the Royal College of Surgeons, and gained their prestigious award of Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.
Simon has also been trained and examined at the Royal Colleges of Surgeons in Edinburgh and London, and is the only dentist in the UK who holds postgraduate diplomas in Implant Dentistry from both institutions. He continues to promote the benefits of treatment with dental implants through publications and lecturing. He is also a lecturer, tutor and examiner for the EDUcal Diploma in Implant Dentistry which is based in Harley Street at the One to One Clinic.
In his spare time, he enjoys cookery, paint balling and mountain biking. He is married to Jill and has two children, Jess (a florist) and Eddie (a dental technician).
